MACKENZIE, Sir George Lacks engraved portrait frontispiece of Charles II, otherwise a very crisp copy in contemporary quarter calf with paper boards, rubbed on hinges and corners of boards. Three separate editions were published in this year. A good copy.

Octavo, 6 x 3.5 in. The first edition appeared in 1640; in this variant of the first edition, the word ‘Regno’ appears in all capital letters. *4, A-Z8, Aa-Oo8. 590 leaves. This copy is in good condition internally. It is bound in full contemporary limp parchment, somewhat stained and worn. Also, should be noted the signature of Du Pont with some annotations at the bottom of the title page. A nice volume.
