Americana is a broad category of materials from rare books to ephemera. This category covers the period from the early 1600’s through to today. Our listings include original rare manuscripts and written ephemera from the early founding of this country and some revolutionary war materials from the first group of Americans, the Brookfield men, who marched to Lexington and fired the first shots at the British soldiers and kicked off the revolutionary war. You will find presidential material and printed ephemera from Congress and various politica, institutions and societies and autographs of famous people.
All of this material is unique and usually first and only editions. The ephemera material is especially rare and some may only be of limited supply as much of the material was burned or thrown out by successive generations cleaning out houses of relatives or owners discarding these items over time.
